Join us for the first ever Peaceful Way Day! This family event held Memorial Day weekend will be packed with fun for all ages. We will kick off the day with a 5k Color Run, followed by a catch-and-release fishing tournament, cardboard boat race, and finish the day with an awesome concert under the tent with Summer Brooke and the Faith Mountain Band!
What exactly is a cardboard boat race? We’re glad you asked. All vessels must be water worthy and human powered! Boats must be made exclusively of cardboard, duct tape, paint, and glue. Any number of people can participate in creating the boat, in fact, we encourage families, youth groups, or businesses to be involved. Bring them ready to race with one or two pilots who will power them across the pond using hands, feet, or a paddle. Come cheer on your favorite!
The PW fishing tournament will be a timed event where 1-2 anglers can form teams to catch and release the most fish (by volume). Bring your own poles, tackle, and bait.
Other activities will be available throughout the day including a climbing wall, bungee jump, water slide, and more! Horseback riding will be available for a small additional cost.
ALL FOR A GREAT CAUSE!
Costs are underwritten by local businesses so that all proceeds of the event will go to two local charities: Remember and Coastal CEF. Tickets are required and concessions and drinks will be for sale throughout the day. Family and volunteer discounts are available.
